Gentle townsman Will Saunders is as scenic designer renowned for his small town home, which remains in excessive Christmas decoration all year, regularly elaborated with his mate. An L.A. station in search of a holiday special for its series "Extreme Holidays" contracts reality TV specialist Super Real Productions to star him, the first production for recently hired documentary filmmaking graduate Sophia Worthy, who isn't even into Christmas. Convincing him and preparing the show allows Cupid to strike, but senior producer Paul Rivera's ideas tend to demean Will, who comes to regret he already signed the contract as a favor to her, while a tasteless promotion video campaign spells a mean ridiculing approach, so he duly dumps her.
